Pretty Darn Proud of Myself! :)

Let me just start by saying that I am the least crafty person on the PLANET! No, seriously, the LEAST crafty person!! So, I was scared to start this little project because I am craft-challenged. I have long been an admirer of all the cute pennant banners & pined for one of my very own...ok, enough of the sappy story. Well, when I found what looked to be an easy peasy, no-sew tutorial, I took a deep breath & decided to just go for it. I headed over to Wal-Mart ~I was NOT going to put a lot of $$$ into this because of my craft disability.

I bought all of this~
(and the picture flipped itself! Ha!)

I made one of these templates~

I cut a bunch of these~
(and the picture loaded upside down)

I laid out my ribbon and the Heat & Bond and ironed it down~

I laid my pennants (upside down) on top of the ribbon & ironed them down~

THEN...drumroll, please...
VOILA!! I did it!!

I'm soooo stinkin' proud of myself I can't stand it! Seriously~ I DO NOT DO CRAFTS~ so this is a huge accomplishment for me! Yay me! I'm not sure if I am crazy about the patterns on the pennants...but, like I said earlier, I didn't want to invest a lot of dough into this project, so I bought some cheap "Fat Quarters" fabric from Wal-Mart. The whole banner cost me right at $10! Woo hoo! Ok, I'll stop all this ruckus now!!

Here are some other projects that I am considering taking the plunge & trying...

I want to make colorful poms to hang over my student tables.

Teacher Organizer

I would love to make a supply organizer in the hopes that I can get rid of my teacher desk soon.

I love this !

Again, this little organizer will help me get rid of that pesky desk!

filing cabinet makeover

I would love to jazz up my boring, tan colored filing cabinet with something cute like this one!

OK~
I think I can hear all of you laughing at me...I know that these crafts seem simple, but I cannot express to you enough that I am craft-challenged!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Have a great day everyone!!
