3. Colorful Bic Crystal Pens~ are you kidding me? What teacher is not obsessed with pens?!

4. Colorful, LINED Post-Its~ Come on, who doesn't like colorful Post-Its! :)

Keeping it Simple!!

Hi friends!!
I don't know about you, but I just love when I have an easy-peasy center where the kids are independent & engaged and requires very little prep work from me!

I have been making & using these make, stamp, & write centers for a while and my students love them. They get in the center & know exactly what to do & how to do it. You gotta love that!! Plus, anytime I have letter stamps out there is always high interest! :)

I finally put all the pages together & made a little packet. I will be adding to this packet as I make more pages. Currently there are 20 different thematic pages. There are pictures for each vocabulary word, so the students are able to read the sheets without having to have support from me. They love the reading confidence they get with this center!!

It is ready for you on TpT (click the pic) & it is included in my sale! There is a FREEBIE for you in the preview!

Finally out of my rut!! Hooray!

I have been in a creative rut lately & have not been creating much. Does this happen to everyone or just me?!
Well, I finally bought some cute clipart & became inspired to create a winter unit! Yay!
Well, I really had no choice because I needed some fresh stuff to use with my cuties when we go back in January.
I promise that all of the activities fall right in line with the Common Core and, more importantly, ALL activities are kindergarten appropriate! They are all activities that I have used in my very own classroom with real life kindergarten kids! Woah!!

Here is what it looks like because I know that you are on the edge of your seat...ha!!

There are a whopping 8 math & 8 literacy activities!!
There is a labeling freebie in the preview for you!
I am including it in the sale that I am currently running so go grab it while it's cheap!
Hurry!!
:)

Just Can't Believe It...

My baby girl turned the big
today!! I just cannot believe that she is growing up soooo fast. I want to slow things down, but I guess that ain't happenin'! :)

Here's my super girl at her birthday lunch today...

Photo: Birthday lunch with the best 12 year old ever!!

She HATES having a birthday so close to Christmas, so I am super careful to keep the two occasions separate. I guess everyone with birthdays around Christmas is probably like that, I would be!

I hope everyone is having a happy Wednesday!!

Holiday Fun

I just wanted to do a quick little post to let you know that I am oficially on break!! Woo Hoo!!
I hope that the rest of you are finished or will be finishing soon, too...
Anyway, here is a pic of some of my cuties in their reindeer hats. They LOVED prancing around & singing Rudolph ALL DAY with these hats on (Seriously, ALL DAY!!!).

Then, I found these fun little Christmas tree ornaments on Pinterest & thought they would be a nice & easy craft for kinders to make for their mommies...I was right & the bonus is that they turned out super cute!!

For our party treat we made Christmas trees out of ice cream cones, green icing, & tons of candies. They were SOOOOOO quiet while they worked on these. They took it majorly serious!!

Here are a couple of our finished trees before they were devoured!
Cute & Yummy!

Can you say MAJOR sugar high!?!

He was so proud of his tree...he kept referring to it as his masterpiece! So cute...you gotta love kinders!!

So now that we have partied it up we will take a 3 week break!! YAY!!

***I wanted to send out my most sincere sympathies to all those in Connecticut. I am praying for all those lives lost & their families, classmates, & friends. I am so sad to think that these kinds of things can happen anywhere at anytime. I am praying that our country will make some changes so that this can be prevented from EVER happening again!!***

Holiday Break Activities

Hello Friends!

I am so happy that Friday finally made it here!

I have 5 more days to go until I get the much needed 3 WEEK break!
Woot woot!!

I like for my students to spend good quality time with their families & enjoy their time away from school. They need the time off just as much as we do, right!?
BUT, I also like for them to keep their skills sharp. I do not like to send home a TON of worksheets that are tedious & boring for the kids and their families.
SOOOOO....

I came up with this handy, dandy little goody.

These are quick little activities that the kiddos can do & have a little fun while their at it. If you want it, you can get it here!
Please consider pinning it for me! :)

If you do snag it, please leave me a little feedback! Also, please consider following me here on my blog & at my TpT store if you don't already!!

Have a great weekend!!

Math Fun...

I just wanted to upload a few pics of my math centers this week. I have been so bad about posting pics from my classroom this year. Maybe that should be my New Year's Resolution! :)
Here's a little Christmas lights sort, graph, & tally activity. This was the first time that my kids had to tally independently & they did pretty good! They love this center & the added plus is that I let them use markers! It's amazing how little things like that can put the excitement in a center! Ha!

This picture uploaded a little wonky...
They had to cut out the candy canes & put them in order from 11 to 20. Then we turned them into a super cool hat!

This is a count & color center. They had to pick a candy cane card, count the candy canes & color the part of Santa that had the number. Each card was a different color.

My kids LOVE to paint & the added bonus is that they are actually pretty good at it this year! I love kinder paintings!! <3

Another wonky pic upload...
This is a sorting by size center. I wish I had taken the pic after it was colored. They turned out pretty cute!
No, this is not math...don't really know how this got in my upload, but it is a pretty cute interactive writing. I think my next mini-lesson will be on writing with mostly lowercase letters!

Ok, that's it for me! Welcome to all my new followers! I am so excited that my little blog is growing. I love the blogging world!

Have a great night!!
