Calling All Crafty, Decorating Friends...

Hi Bloggy Friends!
Do you remember my post about my craft disability? If not, you can read about it here. Well, along with my inability to be crafty comes my inability to decorate! I simply do not have an eye for it. I know what looks good when I see it, but I am not able to put patterns & cute stuff together on my own. I'm a copycat decorator :0! If I see it in a magazine, on tv, etc, I can put it together & know that it looks good. Alas, I am very inept at creating things on my own aside from very basic things. Anyway...I am in desperate need of new work station signs & pocket chart cards for my class. I found the CUTEST zebras from Scrappin' Doodles & I knew that they would make the most awesome station signs EVER!
Here is where you come in...I need your decorative eye to tell me if they look as awesome as I think they do! :)

Question 1: I'm pretty sure that I love the polkadot border, but is it too much? Keep in mind that they will be cut apart (duh) & separated in a pocket chart. Then, I will have the big sign that matches each card posted at the station. I just LOVE these zebras!! Tell me what you think...

Question 2: If I go this route...how should my bulletin boards be done? What color paper? Border? Etc...

I know that this is probably a no-brainer for you smarty pants, crafty, decorating teachers, but I have admitted to you my fault!

I PROMISE that I do tons of crafty stuff in my classroom with my kiddos! They are in no way craft/art deprived. For some reason, I have an easy time coming up with cute stuff to do with them!?!?!

Ok~ let me know what you think & any tips or suggestions that you have...
What else can I do in my classroom to enhance my cute zebras??

Thank you soooooo much for your advice!!! :)

I, too love them! I, too, am not very crafty and my spatial intelligence is lacking! How about a yellow background on the bulletin board? That would really make the posters pop! Lauren

Those are super cute. I would say a black background, but I am not sure the one with the black dotted border would show up.

I know you said you are in NC (but not sure where). Stone's School Supply has some zebra border (or at least they used to). That would carry the theme throughout the class space...

I agree, those zebras are adorable! They would even make a good theme for animal-themed or safari-inspired children's parties.
