Happy Halloween!!

Just a quick little post...
I hope everyone had a safe & happy Halloween!
I just whipped up this little journal packet for math in November. Every task can be found in the CCSS...sorry, no patterns here!
I LOVE to use these as a warm-up exercise before I begin my daily math lesson. They are so great to get the kiddos talking math! I hope you like them!!

I'm gonna give away a packet, or 2, or 3...
The winners will be the ones that guess my favorite Halloween candy.
Good Luck!!

Sick Baby :(

Hello Friends!

I am sad to report that my 2 year old little guy has pneumonia. :(

I haven't been in school at all this week & I'm not sure when I will be back. I feel sorry for my kinders because they are not getting to do all the Halloween fun stuff that I typically do during this week. I just couldn't bear to put all that on a sub....I knew they were going to be a little haywire with excitement, so I tried to keep the plans as low key as possible for the substitute.

I am so excited to teach my class about elections & voting (I hope I get back to school to teach it). I did make an election packet & I think that it breaks it down to a very simple level that my kinders will understand. Here it is in case you missed it...

So, tonight I created this to go with the packet. You can click the pic to download it for FREE!

OK, that's it for now. I am off to give the little guy a breathing treatment...boo.

Pumpkins!

I have really gotten into making these science mini-units lately. I love to use them with my students & they love the activities. They have very basic, easy to understand information, and they have been very successful in my classroom this year.
Next week I will be teaching about pumpkins, so I made a pumpkin mini-unit to use during my science time.

It has labeling, a cut & paste flow map, a tree map, an easy reader, vocabulary cards, a writing activity, and labels to use after making a pumpkin craft. I know that these are good activities for kinders because I have tried them out with my class! :)

It is included in my 20% Spooktacular Sale, so click on the picture to go to my store & snag it up!
OR
Check out my Facebook Page to see how you can win it!!

Happy Saturday!!

Monday Literacy

Here's what's happening in my centers this week...

They went NUTS over this pocket chart because they could actually read it! I have never had them so excited at this center as they were today...and it was my low group that came here! So happy!!

What can be better than a super fun fishing center? They had to fish out a letter, tell their partner the letter name & sound, then they both stamped it on their sheet...so cute!

This is my writing center & a labeling sheet in the center. I am so pleased with the work that they did here today.

This is the Football Freebie that I posted yesterday. My kids did great with it! Yay! (sorry for the nasty glare...boo!)
This is a picture of my write the room center. This little cutie was doing such a great job reading & writing those words!

Okay, enough bragging about my kiddos! I was just a proud mama with all their hard work today!

If you like these activities you can get them here...

and here...

Have a happy Monday!! :)

You've Been Boo'd Linky...sO mUcH fUn!!

I am linking up with
Welcome to 2nd Grade Pad
For this super fun linky party!!

You've probably all played the popular game BOO at school where you leave a ghost on someone's desk or mailbox along with a treat. Let's do the same by sharing some love from our stores...

Here's how to play. Choose a fellow blogger that has MORE followers, another that has about the SAME number of followers, and last, someone that has LESS followers.

Highlight their blogs with links to encourage others to check them out. Don't forget to let your fellow bloggers know that you shared about them.

Lastly, leave them some love by offering them a goody from your store as their "treat."

Here are my bloggy favorites:

1.
Rowdy in Room 300
Nicole is super creative & I LOVE all of her stuff!! Go check out her awesome blog!

Here's What I'm Planning....

Okay, so you know that I have been out of school for 2 weeks. I know that sounds great, but this is my FAV-O-RITE time of year to teach. Seriously, I look forward to the fun autumn stuff every year...I think it may even be why I became a teacher...ok, that's not entirely true...ha! But I REALLY love the fall. So, with the year round schedule, I miss out on 2 solid weeks of fall time fun! *sniff* I know you are all rolling your eyes & asking what the heck I'm whining about~ I have 2 weeks OFF for goodness sake!
Anyway- here are a few of the things that I have prepared for my cuties when we get back to school next week...

I love a good sentence un-scrambling & my students do, too. :)

This will be my magnet center. The words hang on my desk & they use magnet letters to build the words. Then, they record & read the words on their sheet. (Excuse the poor pic quality) You can have this one because it is FREE!! Get it here! Yippie for free stuff!! :)

I plan on using this one as a math center the first week back. They have to choose a card, color the scarecrow to match the card color, write the number in the box, & fill in the 10 frame.

I will use this acorn math center the 2nd week back. It's done the same way as the scarecrow center, but instead of the number there is a 10 frame...duh, you couldn't have figured that one out on your own could ya?

This is a fun little sorting center. They choose a leaf & place it on the correct tree mat.

I just couldn't resist posting this one. It is just so doggone cute...if I say so myself! And, the best part is...this one is FREE! You can get it here. Don't you just love FREE stuff?!!

Ok~ that's enough of me rambling! If you pick up the freebies please leave a little feedback!

Don't forget to leave me a comment...it gets lonely out here in blogland! Corny, right!!??

Halloween kid craft
I'm thinking about making this cute little guy with my class this year! What do you think?

Anywho...Fall break is allowing me to be pretty productive. Here are 2 new units that I made...

I had already made a fall themed literacy unit, so here is the math unit to compliment it. I hope you like it!

So, then I made this little science unit about leaves. I had such a great response with my 5 senses unit that I thought I would try to put some more science-y stuff in my store...sounds like a good idea, right??

This one has a lesson plan for each day & activity sheets to go with them. There is an anchor chart idea, observation sheets, 2 little leaf readers, and some other stuff...I can't give it all away! ;)

I know, I know, you want to win them, right?!
Okay, the first 5 people to blog about them can have them BOTH for FREE!! Just put your link in my comments so I can check it out!

Oh yeah, don't forget to enter my SCENTOS giveaway...and tell your friends about it, too!
